Letters from Summer STEM Camp Brought to You by the
Navy League STEM Institute and the Sacramento Council

The Navy League STEM Institute provided matching grant funding to the Navy League Sacramento Council to support scholarships for six Navy League Cadets from U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps Sacramento Division to attend the Aerospace Museum of California’s (AMC) Summer STEM Camp. AMC is committed to inspire students to explore, dream, and discover STEM through hands on learning. One way they do this is through a series of week-long summer camps where students can choose to focus on space, aviation, or engineering. The Summer STEM Camps served over 500 students over the 10-week run at its 4.5-acre air park.

United States Coast Guard Air Station Sacramento Wows Area Northern California Naval Sea Cadet Divisions

Cadets and staff from the U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps Golden Bear Division (Chico, CA) and Ticonderoga Division (Sacramento, CA) recently joined service members from United States Coast Guard Air Station Sacramento for an orientation flight in one of the command’s six HC-27J Spartan Medium Range Surveillance aircraft. Navy League Sacramento Council initiated the effort by renewing connections between the Air Station and Sea Cadet Divisions that had slowed over the last two years. “It was good to get back to the business of the Navy League by making connections and bringing together these incredible organizations,” said Sacramento Council Vice President of Military Affairs and former Air Station Commanding Officer Stephen Delikat.
